The Way I’m Seeing Things Happening in Malaysia
When I read today’s news about my country, I feel really really bad for what had happened in the past few days. Alot has happened and at some point, I feel ashamed for what happened in our country. I don’t know whether it’s the country’s fault, the government’s fault or the society’s fault that all this happened. Here’s a summary of what happened in the past few days.
MMS showing Royal Police mistreating a Lady
A MMS showing a Royal Policewoman directing a lady that is stripped to do ‘ear squat’. First of all, what we should question is, why would the Royal Police do such thing that really abuse the basic right of a human. Even though she’s being detained, but police are not supposed to execute her themselves. I mean as we used to study in PA, police plays the role in enforcing the law and not take the law themselves in their hand. Another serious question is, Why is such video being taken down in the lockup itself? I mean it’s obvious that no one from the public can go into the lockup to capture that video. That means the only person that are able to capture this video, is the police force themselves. If there is someone else that is not the police force inside the lockup, that means there is something wrong with our police enforcement system. What is the motive of capturing this video is the next question that we should ask. Did the video being captured is for the nation to know about the ugly side of the police force or it was being captured to share among peers and finally reached out to the public? If the reason is the latter, then there is a even more serious problem in the professional ethics of the police force that need to be questioned. Anyway, I sincrely hope that it’s not the latter reason that the video is being captured.

[Edit] Anyway… I don’t think it’s a good idea to go on spreading the video. I think the Lady deserve some respect as she has already have enough of humiliation.
Royal Police sued girl for Reporting Bribery
Girl got stopped for not having a ‘P’, police asked how u wanted to solve it, paid for it and it’s really a typical thing that happened in a country. But this time, the girl reported it and the Police filed a suit to sue the girl back for defamation. I don’t know what to say about this. But clearly, something is wrong somewhere. Ether the ‘P’ is gotten too easy then the bribe won’t be asked and the report of bribery + sueing won’t happened. This one, gotta be researched more clearly to settle it from it root.

Session turns into a circus
As usual, the sandiwara again. Our beloved MPs turned the Dewan into circus.
The situation inside the Dewan was like a circus when a deputy minister accused opposition MPs of behaving like monkeys.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk M. Kayveas was replying to questions about backlog of court cases when Fong Po Kuan (DAP – Batu Gajah) asked him to name the oldest case which had yet to be settled.
Kayveas then began to explain why there was a backlog.
When Lim Kit Siang (DAP – Ipoh Timur) pointed out that he was not answering Fong’s question, Kayveas replied: “Even with foreign visitors (European Parliament members) here, you are behaving like a monkey. See, one monkey behind and one in front.”
He was referring to Fong in the back row, and Lim in the front.
Kayveas fanned the temperature further when he said the reason for the delays was because lawyers who became opposition MPs constantly sought postponements.
When Lim and Fong protested, Kayveas again accused them of behaving like monkeys.
Fong demanded that Kayveas withdraw his remark. He did, but changed his mind when the opposition MPs continued to criticise him.
The pandemonium ended when Ramli ordered Kayveas to withdraw his words.
— The Star
How embarrassing this is to happened infront of foreign visitors and it’s actually receiving coverage from foreign media. You don’t call people “Monkey” in such a serious place where you discuss important decision of a country. I really think Kayveas should learn how to respect others. If he made the mistake himself, what right does he have to call other Monkeys. I seriously wonder where is his basic manners. Being a deputy minister of the Prime Minister’s Department, he’s a disgrace to our PM and our country.
After reading all these, all i can do is let out a long sigh… and shake my head…. felt that it is better for me to head back to my study and be ignorant rather than knowing what’s going on in the reality.
Ignorance is a BLISS….
Calling all fellow bloggers, spread this news in your blog to help our malaysian top rally driver Keramjit Singh to defend his APRC title. Please do so if your blog has a high traffic unlike mine, hopefully there will be some big company that read about it and is willing to give him some sponsorship. The Star published in one of their article saying that Keramjit might not be able to defend his APRC title because of lack of funding.
Lack of funds have derailed Malaysian rally driver Karamjit Singh’s (pic) hopes of defending the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) title.
Karamjit is not competing in the Rally of Rotorua in New Zealand this weekend. Under APRC regulations, a driver has to take part in a minimum of two rallies in the Pacific and three in Asia.
Karamjit had already skipped the first two rallies of the season – Rally of Canberra in April and Rally of New Caledonia in May.
The 43-year-old driver even shipped his car to New Caledonia last month but was forced to pulled out after he could not raise enough sponsorship money.
The remaining legs of the eight-round APRC championships are in Japan (July), Malaysia (August), Indonesia (September), Thailand (October) and China (November).
A dejected Karamjit added that he could not understand why he had problem securing sponsorship despite having won the APRC overall title three times in the last four years.
“This is the first time in my career that I have to give up a title just like that. The organisers were hoping that I could defend the title. They are certainly disappointed with me,” he said.
“They knew our team had financial problems and were willing to subsidise our participation fees. But we still needed money for other things like tyres and to pay the mechanics.
“My only hope now is to get sponsors to race in the Rally of Malaysia in Johor (Aug 19-21). This is our home rally and the top drivers are coming.”
Last year, Karamjit won four of the six legs – in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and India.
Karamjit added that he was still trying to secure additional sponsorship to enable him to finish his campaign in the production car category of the World Rally Championships (WRC).
“I have taken part in three races (New Zealand, Cyprus and Turkey) and I need to complete six rounds. This is the condition stated by the organisers,” he said. “If I did not take part, I can be fined US$3,000 for each round.”
Money matters aside, Karamjit said that he was more worried about the sanctions that FIA may bring on him.
“They can suspend my licence. If I am under suspension, how am I going to earn a living?”
Karamjit and his new co-driver, John Bennie of Scotland, achieved their best finish in the WRC so far in New Zealand where they finished fifth.
Don’t Give Up Keramjit Singh…
Why Our Local Universities Failed
There’s alot of people commenting or posting blog on the recent hot topics, Top scorers fail to get scholarships… I guess this is really nothing new anymore as it’s happening every year… Some even insulted the poor boy for being arrogant during the interview, well, how sure are you? I guess it’s just not right assuming that he flunked his interview with his “ohh, I own the world attitude…” I mean even if he does, he can afford to do that right? He has got the A’s to prove to everyone… More so, we don’t know what happened during the interview, how could you add salt to his wound? Anyway, I have friends who’s a school representative debater, who of course speaks well and obtained 12A1 and 1A2 out of the 13 subjects he took failed to get JPA scholarships in the year we finished SPM. Only after the appeal he got through… So, you know what happened…
There has been a sms spreading around saying that the local uni result is gona be out yesterday, and 20,ooo visitors are attracted to the emoe website just yesterday alone. I guess when the local uni results is out, there will be another news headlines saying that so and so didn’t managed to get into the uni or courses they want despite of the meritocracy system, and then so and so Minister will stand out and show that Bumis stats outnumber the others and he will say that those with 3 syllables name doesn’t performed as well as Bumis and he will say “they should be satisfy with the increased number in the intake of Chinese into local unis”, and that they should keep quiet instead of being ungrateful. This same scenario will be happening years after years… Sometimes I really find that Malaysian education hibllarious. I mean, according to the dictionary, we clearly know that Meritocracy is “A system in which advancement is based on individual ability or achievement”. If it includes quota for different races, is it still meritocracy? No, it isnt as it’s no longer based on individuality ability or achievement anymore. I was being accepted to NUS the top university of Singapore but I don’t even dare to put UM as one of my choices when I fill my form. Anyway, I guess I can’t say so as I’m not having the perfect result.
Anyway, I’m not writing another post on racism, but I’m writing for those local uni’s or local gov website. I really wonder what does the webmaster does everyday… I mean you can just simply go into one of those site, and you will see their design… I’m sure everyone won’t forget JPJ’s flash intro, and tons more. Most of those website especially those local uni website is so Frontpage generated design. I really wonder whether they are still using the Frontpage as their html editor or not. Can’t they just make it webstandard or html valid? ok, that might be too high demand but at least they should make it more interesting, don’t you agree? Like, maybe get a better camera to capture some professional looking photos and edit them properly using Photoshop instead of resizing without even bothering about the photos are distorted with big heads and long body. Some are even blurred because of zoom in resizing of VGA sized photos maybe?
Their feedback and enquire systems are worst either. When I wrote to UM, enquiring their confusing qualifications requirement as quoted,
Ketua Penolong Pendaftar,
Seksyen Kemasukan dan Rekod,
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I’m writing regarding some enquiries in the undergraduate programme
MC01 - Sarjana Muda Teknologi Maklumat. Below is the requirement as
displayed either in the http://www.emoe.gov.my
or
http://202.185.111.137/SKR/UnderG/stpm_tekno_maklumat.htm
1. Lulus dengan sekurang-kurangnya Kepujian dalam salah satu mata
pelajaran berikut di peringkat SPM/setaraf;
• Matematik
• Matematik Tambahan
dan
2. Lulus dengan sekurang-kurangnya Gred C+ (NGMP 2.33) dalam mata
pelajaran Matematik T/Matematik Lanjutan T/Fizik
dan
Gred C+ (NGMP 2.33) dalam salah satu (1) mata pelajaran berikut:
• Matematik T
• Matematik Lanjutan T
• Fizik
• Biologi
• Kimia
• Ekonomi
• Perakaunan
• Perkomputeran
• Pengajian Perniagaan
refering to the 2nd requirement which is Passing at least with a C+
Grade (NGMP 2.33) in the Mathematik T/Matematik Lanjutan/Fizik which
means to say only Science stream students can apply to this courses as
Arts stream students can only take the Matematik S subject.
but looking at the 3rd requirement which is at least a C+ grade in
either one of the following subjects, Arts stream subjects such as
Perakaunan, Ekonomi, Pengajian Perniagaan which only the Arts stream
students can take are listed as well.
So, if I am an Arts stream students interested in pursuing this
programme, it would be impossible for me to fullfill the 2nd
requirement listed.
Hopefully there will be a solution to my confusion as the application
to the IPTA is going to start soon. Thank you in advance for reading
this email and a reply from you as soon as possible is much
appreciated.
Thank you,
Yours sincerely,
Me
And here’s their reply,
This course is open to science students only
Yup, you didn’t read wrongly, that’s all he replied me. Imagine me writing such a long mail and my expectation upon their reply, it’s definitely disappointing. Not even a salutation, not even a thank you or signatories… What sort of formality of replying is this?
Unlike NUS, here’s one of their reply when I enquired them on the delay of my matric application postage. anyway, I couldn’t post the whole email here as I’m not allowed to disclose that email for another purpose, so here’s the format of their reply. btw, before they replied my email, right after the received my enquiries, they send an automated mail to me with the following content…

You do the comparison yourself, I’m sure you will know why we failed to be in the top of the Best Uni in the world if compared to others. Don’t give silly excuse such as “We didn’t make it to the top because our work is mostly done in Malay, they didn’t evaluate those work published as they are in Malay”… Just look back at the way you build the website that represent you for the world to see and your reply to your enquirer. Shame on you…
Hustler’s Reader Humble Opinion
Someone posted a very mean comment in hustler’s diary threatening to expose his identity and even address. i guess this is way too much don’t you think so?
i mean everyone has their own right to say whatever they wanted to say especially in their blog and through bloggin you can become anonymous in your blog, this is what blog is great about. when someone expose the other person’s identity, that’s what i call violating other’s people’s privacy right. just to be fair to hustler, if he wanted to remain anonymous, then why bother about his identity right?
i guess when fakerized revealed those pictures are actually identical in his blog, he just wanted to prove that you shouldn’t ever insult the intelligence and underestimate you reader. i don’t think he wanted to flame that hustler is fake. i mean, i saw a girl named Amelia posting a comment in those deleted post before they were being deleted in hustler’s diary, i’m sure she too felt insulted when she found out that the photos are identical. perhaps everyone look high upon him, so much so that people really believe in what he said. when you found out everything is just fake, the disappointment inside of you, the feelings that you felt cheated and because people like him, that’s why it is hard to actually accept that you are cheated.
maybe he shouldn’t delete the post. he should say that that girl is a narcissistic, so bad that she actually send him twice her picture giving different stories. hmm…. i guess that’s not a good idea after all. it will just lead to even more troll. whatever it is, i’m sure most of hustler’s reader wouldn’t want him to stop blogging. i don’t know about you, but i’m certainly sure that i myself wouldn’t want him to stop blogging. i’m one of his blog’s supporter and his blog is definitely one of the most entertaining blog around. i mean, why don’t we just forget about those post and just move on so that at least we will have something to read to after having a stressful day for entertainment right?
i guess after that last post, it’s going to be difficult for hustler to regain the confidence among his reader, but hopefully he will not shut up his blog. perhaps he should come clean with he’s reader and who knows? they might forgive him. anyway, i’m just giving my suggestion as his reader that i wouldn’t want him to stop blogging and not justifying what he did was right or wrong. so, good luck in coming back you hustler.
What do you think?
Finally Prince Charles got married with his love of his life, Camilla Parker Bowles. After 30 long years of waiting, they are stil able to pick up where they firs begin, ain’t this somehow in a way romantic?
As the saying goes, first love is always the deepest uh? i used to believe that once you are in love, it must be the right person. i believe that it is possible to achieve that as i did see example like that before. i have a friend whose parents are close to my family, his parents are childhood sweetheart just like in the fairy tales. well, some people tried to wait for the right person and not knowing that the right person might have left long before they realize, while some people decided to stop waiting when love hit them even though they might not be his or her perfect gal or guy. i mean, it’s rather difficult to stop yourself from falling in love once there’s connection between both of you.
it’s rather self contradicting which choice should you choose. should you be going for the person that’s in front of you or should you be waiting for the right person? the difficult part is, how do you know whether he or she is the right person to you? i mean, you could trust a person so much, love someone more than loving yourself, but still, you might be betrayed despite of sacrifices were made for them. or else, where comes all the divorce and adultry uh? more so there’s no specific label or sign telling you that :” hey, here’s the right guy/right gal for you.”
could first love really be the last love that’s gona last forever? i doubt it now. i guess even one party could make sure that he or she is loyal and could shower love unconditionally, it might not be possible. well, love is the affection towards another person, which is to say that it involves 2 party. it’s not enough if there’s just one person working hard sacrificing everything. things wont work that way, i’m pretty sure. i mean love is like a partnership, could partnership worked if there’s no equal efforts being poured into a relationship? perhaps for sometime it might work, but soon after time passed, the sense of not being treated fairly will messed with your emotion. you will somehow forget about why in the first place you sacrificed.
i guess what i mentioned above is yet just another stale and lame stuff to be read. anyway, i’m tired. signin off…

got myself a pair of levi’s Redtab jeans for RM175. truly expensive one but i got it in less than half an hour 15 minutes. feeling so guilty. gona start working tomorrow. have been shopping for 6 straight hours, darn tired.
better go to bed early. still hesitating whether to drive or not to drive there. as tomorrow i have to work for 9 hours inclusive of an hour for dinner i supposed.
this is silly, what sort of MP does we put in our Parliament. i read this from Nanyang Newspaper today.
There’s this MP suggested that we should legalize polygamy. The given reason for that matter by taking the example of Kelantan, a state in Malaysia is as follow. (transalated based on my understanding, if i got it wrong, then please let me know)
The female in Kelantan outnumbered the male. Mostly those females get married not because of wanting a hideaway, but instead to enjoy sexual pleasure from marriage. If polygamy is banned, then the supply will no be able to meet the demand for husband. If those female in Kelantan doesn’t get satisfying sex life, they might try to get sexual pleasure by being a hooker.
Gosh, is he a no brainer by making such comments? i wonder where did our system goes wrong that we selected that kind of person to talk nonsense in our Parliament. i mean, did he actually think before he talks by giving such offensive remarks?
inside the article, there are also other MP supporting legalizing polygamy. did we just go back to stone edge again that we know nothing bout loyalty? (or did we put too many horny ah pek in the parliament?)

Should we put the fate of someone’s life in our own hands or god’s hand? i guess this argument will go no end in Terri Schiavo case.
Terri Schiavo was diagonosed in a Persistent Vegetative State (PVS) by 6 different court-appointed physicians after suffering from a severe brain damage due to lack of oxygen while waiting for the paramedic to arrive. She was having a cardiac arrest due to bulimia which she drank liquid only to maintain her weight .
On March 18, 2005, her gastric feeding tube has been removed on court order to mark an end to the endless suffering of Terri. “as requested by Terri not wanting to be kept artificially”insisted by her husband, Michael Schiavo. She’s expected to leave us within March 27 till Apr 1. Her parents are still filing a court appeal to reinsert the gastric feeding tube back to her daughter.
however, according to MedPagetoday, Terri Schiavo will not feel any pain anymore stated in this article.
Pain, as well as suffering, requires consciousness, which is lacking in a person in a persistent vegetative state, says Dr. De Georgia. “Certainly these patients don’t suffer,” he adds. “Suffering is really that whole emotional aspect of pain: fear, anxiety, panic surrounding pain. You have to have consciousness to experience these emotions. So just as a person in a persistent vegetative state can’t experience pain because of a lack of consciousness, they also don’t suffer.”
since no suffering is involved, i guess what matters now is her will to live on. Today is the 13th day she strive to live without her tube. perhaps the court couldn’t know that whether Terri still have the will to live on anymore or not on the day they removed her tube. but it’s already 13 days, can’t they figure it out that she’s still struggling to live on her life, or even maybe to recover? i mean if she has lost her will to live (as in she doesn’t want to be kept artificially) i guess she would b gone by now. but she’s still alive.
i’ve heard a story on will power sometime ago. a men was being captured as the POW. he was being blindfolded and was threatened by those soldier that he will be cut at his wrist using a sharp knife and his blood will dripped drop by drop until he dies. however, they didn’t do anything at all to him other than using a sharp tools to scratch on his wrist and hang a bag of water around his wrist. the waterbag dripped… drop by drop. the man thought that it was his blood that is dripping. at someday, he died because he thought that it is about time for him to die since his blood has dripped off. he lost the will to live so he died thinkin that he has dried of blood.
you can see how powerful is someone’s will to live. i guess all we could do is to pray hard that Terri could live through even after 1st of april and hopefully this is enough to prove that she wants to live on her life and no one has the right to take her life in his or her hand. hopefully, God will let her live on her will or if things are not going the way it should be, then please take her with Him to a better place. i’m a buddhist. So as the buddhist saying goes, if a person died early, it marks the end of his cycle for this life and he could move on to his next life or either go to a place where there will be no suffer, no pain, no happy, no sadness, no love, no hate,no anything, no nothing…… and we shall not be sad, we should be happy for him instead.
